Update on Police Action to Tackle Robbery & Phone Snatching in Your Area

Dear Battersea Park, Nine Elms, and Shaftesbury & Queenstown Residents,

We’ve been running a targeted operation since July to tackle robbery and phone snatching in your area - and it’s working.

Reductions since 1st July (compared with May–June):

Robbery: Nine Elms down 72%, Battersea Park down 46%, Shaftesbury & Queenstown down 45%

Phone Snatching: Nine Elms down 36%, Battersea Park down 31%, Shaftesbury & Queenstown down 32%

This success comes from officers across the Met working together, using hotspot policing to target the right places at the right times.
